Camera on the fritz = lack of interesting posts

Sorry......I'm trying to convince myself to buy a new one for the New Year~

So for now, I'll talk about pigs.

If you haven't noticed, I like pigs. I'm not quite sure why I have such a fascination with them; but they are the first animal I want to go stare at while at the Fair, I hunt for cute vintage pigs at antique shops and I always admired my Grandma's large collection of Shawnee's, proudly lined up above her kitchen cupboards.

Loving pigs is totally ironic because my big sister annoyingly nicknamed me 'Piglet' at a very young age. AND, I hated it.
H A T E D !

And Boy, oh Boy, did she know it.

Many of times our Mom would come flying into the living room wooden spoon in hand, swearing we were both gonna git it if we didn't stop. This of course was followed by me screaming at the top of my lungs through my tears 'But she's calling me P-P-p-iglet'. (Flash to my sister who is grinning at me at behind Mom's back).

The fact is that she didn't even actually have to verbally say it. As we sat on the sofa (opposite ends of course) at our 7:30pm tv time, waiting for Lawrence Welk to hurry the hell up and get over with so we could watch Flip Wilson or Carol Burnett; If I did anything previous to this to make her upset (probably something insignificant like rifling through her stuff when she wasn't home or somethin') she knew exactly what to do to wind me up. All it took was to give me the look and I just knew that she was calling me Piglet in her head.

However many times, try as I might, sitting there on the sofa, eagerly waiting for our show to start, I HAD to look at her......sure enough, she'd give me a smirk and mouth silently 'P-I-G-L-E-T'.........which she knew would cause me to come back with an ear piercing "MMmmommmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!"

Awww, sisterly love!

My banner photo (piglet bums) was taking when my sister and I made a trip 'home' and hit the Puyallup Fair last year.
